97 Polaris 400 Xplorer won't idle
#1
I have a 97 Polaris Xplorer 400 that starts but won't idle. I checked the fuel filter, it's okay, But I did notice a line disconnected at the top end. The bottom end is connected above the transmision dipstick. What's the problem?

check and make sure your throttle freeplay is in spec, 1/8th inch of freeplay, adjustment is just down from the throttle, if that doesn't work, clean your carburetor, if that doesn't work then check compression, really anything under 100 psi is bad, and a lot of times those motors will lose the exhaust side of the piston skirt and won't idle. and if thats the case, when u rebuild it, dont put a polaris piston back in it, put a wiseco in it, a lot better piston
