98 warrior with 11.5 to 1 piston... need help with gearing and jets?
#1
I have a 98 warrior.
I need to redo my chains and sprockets so i want to find out the best combo. I have a 11.5 to 1 piston and a f&m pipe. I would like to know what size jets I need and what type of gearing I need for 22 inch mud tires....... I have dropped 4 teeth in the back but feel that is way too much. Should I go the other way from stock? I run 25 inch tires now but I want to get a set of 22 inch bear claws.
Any ideas?? please help!!

Thor... I beat you because the Raptor 350 is so awesome compared to the Warriors.

150 Main jet would be a good starting point for your jets. If I were you I would keep the stock rear tooth # sprocket (40 I think) and use either the stock 13 front sprocket or go up to a 14 tooth with the 22" rears. With the 25" rear tires you may need a 12 tooth front sprocket. It's cheaper to change out the front sprocket than the rear.

yeah with 22's i'd proabably leave the gearing stock. as far as jetting, 150 main worked graet on mine, on striaght out runs, but when i got to riding it and lugging it, it started running a lil rich/flooding out, so i'm going with a 148 when i get the time...

So if Thor puts the stock gearing back on his Warrior with the 22's, what should I change on my Raptor 350 so I can still beat him?
The stock rear tires are 20's, but I am thinking about going with 21 or 22's to give me some more ground clearance. (Gets stuck in the mud too easy). Everything else on the bike is stock except for a K&N air filter. I don't want to change the exhaust but am open to changing the gearing if that would help me beat him.
