If you go with a front tire that is slightly wider than stock say 10in instead of 9in for the front and rear tires 12in instead of 11in along with a 26 inch tire you get a little extra floatation in muddy water and such. It also spreads the weight of the machine out.

You probably don't have to worry about it since you have a 650 and plenty of power but the taller the tire the less gearing you have and more strain on the other components in the drive line. It is like starting off in 2nd gear instead of 1st, but there is such little difference between the 26 and 27 that I would not worry about it at all, you probably will not even notice a difference.

The only other thing is that your handling will be worse with taller tires. If you SEARCH for "how to make the AC handle better", I explained most if it in that post.... pretty good reading and some pretty good replies, worth the time to read some of it....

you will love the swamplites. i have them in 27's on 14's and they are great. the bite everything. i have a 400 and i turn them no prob. i can even wheelie with them. it does change gearing but with the right changes you can compensate for this. ( clutchkit) your 650 will have no issues at all.
