LT80 clutch weight

Default LT80 clutch weight

The only thing I have not done to my LT80,s clutch is lighten the back shoes to 180 grams. Were do I take the weight from? Thanks

take the rear clutch apart. take a shoe and cut 1/2 the distence from the end to the shoe to the pad. weight it and see where your at. then eather chop alittle more off or if your close use a 1/8 drill bit and drill holes untill you reach the 180 gram mark. after the first one the other two are a breeze. good luck and have fun

Has anyone tried 190g? Or is 180g the best for the LT80. Quadroost

180 is the prime target. 190 will just engage alittle sooner. but its just 10 grams

Thanks again! Just seems like you are taking so much off. Can't wait to try them out. My daugter works that LT80 hard chasing me and my Banchee around. I hope this helps her out. Quadroost

it realy just helps in takoff. its just making a stall . the engine revs up a lttle more befor clutch engagment.

Thanks for the help onebigzj not like some people on this forum. Got the quad back together over the 4th, and it made a big difference. Thanks again Quadroost
