Default Elka Shocks?

Since I have purchased my Raptor and gotten back into the riding scene, I find myself constantly trolling the web for more mods. I am a big rider (275lb), so I was thinking that a better suspension would keep my Raptor from grunting and giving me the middle finger when I jump it. However, Elka shocks, good lawd they are proud of them! So I would like to know, do you really get a decent bang for your buck on these? Do you really notice it THAT much?

Not really any specific shocks, just Elka in general. Just trying to get an idea of the price paid for aftermarket shocks are worth it.

i my self would not get elkas. ive herd the valving can be very hard to get right. and over yes i think aftermarket shocks are worth it. i used to have a i-shock set up and it was pretty good. now i have a motowoz shocks on jd 2+2 a-arms and they are so so sweet. i think i paid 960 bucks for the motowoz and they are worth every penny. they are not a big company its like 1 guy custom building these thats why you dont see them in magazines and on pro quads. he doesnt advertise so he can offer the shocks as cheap as possable
