I know this topic has already been played to death but, what 12 tooth sprocket are you guys changing to. Is it a YZ250 sprocket? If so what year? If anyone has a part # that would help a lot. Sorry I wasn't paying attention but I've been racing indoors on cement. It's a really small oval. I think a 12 tooth would get me into the power better in 2nd gear for this track. Thanks.

Rocky Mountian ATV carries 12,13,14 tooth CS and 38,40,42,44 rears for the raptor. I am running a 12 - 44 combo. Be warned though to go to 12-44 you need a new chain that 4 links longer.

I run a 11 tooth front and the stock 40 on the rear and am very happy with this combo. I bought it from Sprocket specialist.com for $12.99. That is a final drive of 3.64 vs. a 3.66 when you use the 12 x 44 combo. It lets you run much slower in first and really pulls strong in 2nd - 5th.

Default Raptor Front Sprocket Change

I am running stock sprockets and a friend of mine has a DS and changed his front sprocket to try and beat me, well it didnt work but has modded other things as well. So now he is almost catching up on me but in the long run(Sand Dragging) he catches up with me at the end. My question is, How can I get the holeshot but still have the power to over take him in the long run with sprocket size. please help me out here, we are going on a trip this Thanksgiving weekend and dont want to tell him anything.

Thanks
