Default vbike rear suspension upgrade

im thinking about changing the rear shock and put something else in, any ideas what would work?
i have a vbike 250-v4s and i want something that will lower the rear end just a little because i think it sits a little high and i want it to be soft because right now mines pretty stiff. i like the front suspension on it, its pretty soft and it does great.

I don't know what other shock would work but the one you have now is adjustable. The shock has a couple of large nuts at the top, one is a lock nut and the other is the adjuster nut. A spanner wrench is the correct tool to use but most of us don't have one. I did the backyard mechanic way of adjusting it. I took a large flat bladed screwdriver and a hammer and tapped the upper lock nut loose. Then I turned the adjuster nut counterclockwise, as you stare at it from above, and released abunch of tension from the shock spring. This softened the shock up quite a bit.
