I have a chance to buy a 2007 Grizzly 700 EPS for $6500 or a 2008 for $7100.
Both prices are with the 6month warranty.
If I want 3 yr warranty, the 2007 goes to $7200 and the 2008 goes to $7700.
What would/did you all that have bought 700 Grizzly's done?
Is the warranty worth it?
I bounce back and forth, like the 6 month warranty price but what if?

Thanks, BTI

Consumer Report Magazines sat extended warranties on anything is just a sale commission ploy and not to op for it. If you cant get 3 years of trouble free riding out of a band new ATV you just have the worst luck there is.

I have been riding my bought used 2001 for 3 years now and a warranty would of been useless so far.

I agree with TLC

I went with the standard 6 month on my '07 and I am ahead of the game money wise by not buying the extended. It's similar to buying the over priced CDW on rental cars.

If you maintain your quad and don't drive it like you stole it, it should easily give you 3 yrs.

If it was me I would get the '07 for $6500. Around here I wouldn't be able get a new '07 for $9500.

I would get it without the Warranty. The stuff that is covered under warrenty usually takes so long to get in and out of the dealer that you are better off just doing it yourself. The major stuff that would be covered under warrenty will most likely break with in the 6 month window if you can put some miles on it.

Thanks guys!
I remember when I bought the other quads I had YEARS ago.....
90 day warranty, that was it.
I'm passed the age of "Driving it like I stole it" LOL
My bones won't handle it anymore.

The prices are the best I could find and are much lower than I found anywhere else.

Those are good prices BTI. I'm going to be purchasing an 08 Grizzly 700 with EPS for 6,800 OTD. I've been searching everywhere until someone gave me a referral to a dealership. Troy City Garage is getting 7,024 OTD which is still an excellent price.

On another note, I test rode four machines this past weekend, the Brute Force (which was one of my considerations), Polaris 800 sportsman, Honda Rincon and a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly.

I picked the Grizzly out of the four because it felt nimble out of the bunch, and steered the best. It didn't have the power of the Brute or Sportsman, but I'm sure you can do things to this beast to give it as much power as the them. The Honda was the slowest out of the group, and I didn't like the auto tranny.

definitely go with the 07. The improvements on the 08 were minimal and not worth $600 extra...

btw... I got a 2 year warranty with mine and had to pay $300 more for 3 more years... (so 5 total) They're ripping you off on the waranty. Make it completely clear that by screwing you on the warranty, you'll just go somewhere else... Then play another dealership off of the price that you're being offered by that one, and see how low they'll go on their warranty...

So what are the differences between an 07 vs 08 model?
