I bought a 440 kit from a vender on ebay. kit included new cyl with sleave instaled. my problem is the new sleave wont slide into the hole in the eng case. It looks to me i will have to grind on the case untill the hole is big enough. Is this right or am i missing something. your help will be app thanks.

 

whos kit is it ........call the vender who sold it to you...........or just get your grinder out and grind away........take some pics of you grinding

 

Big bore kits usually require you to have the cases bored to accomodate the bigger sleeve,you will need to take it to a shop and have it sized to the new sleeve. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you grind on the case to fit the sleeve,it needs a precision boring to make sure the cylinder sits square and the gaskets will seal.
