Default 2007 Sportsman 800 with 2008 engine upgrades?

First Post here.

I have been told the 2008 800 is has about 9% more HP than the 2007 800 and this was done by means of a slightly wilder camshaft.

Does anybody know if you can put a 2008 cam in a 2007 engine and get the same output?
Thanks
