Default Grizzly Sputters in Revers

I recently purchased a 2005 Grizzly 660 SE. I left the key on for 2 weeks, and the battery naturally died completely. I pull started it, but the speedometer showed I was going between 7 and 11 MPH while I was parked. I put it in reverse, it idled fine, but when I tried to give it gas, it sputtered. It never died, but I barely got it out of the garage. I through it in drive, and it ran just fine, except the speedometer was still out of whack. When I got up to about 25 MPH, a red light started flashing. It looked like the REVERSE indicator light. It would not stop flashing until I lowered the speed. The next day I pulled the battery, charged it, put it back in but it was dead. I pull started again, but everything was still messed up. Any suggestions (besides a new battery)?
