Blaster Question
#1
When i bought my blaster (my first ever 2 stroke) i took it out a few times and i think i jus wasnt keepin my rpms up but my spark plug would always foul or flood out. then it would move so slow or not start so i switched sparkplugs. i did this once a ride the first couple times then i took it out a lil more and ive been fine. jus wonderin if it was me jus messin up the first few times or if something could be wrong. thanks. o and one more thing it has a kehin carb and it doesnt idle. is it suppose to idle or is it a non idle

The jetting could be too rich, or your oil/fuel mixture could be off causing the sparkplug to foul. Your sparkplug should never foul if everything is adjusted correctly. And your bike should idle. Any mods done to it that would throw off the jetting? Also is the air filter clean?

i have a b1 toomey exhaust and i took the uni filter out and put a brand new 1 in. i havent ridden it yet with new air filter but the last 1 was dirty and i think i bought it and it was dirty also. i ride in dusty places so im goin to clean them often.

Did you install the Toomey and if so, what jetting did you use? What is the temp where you live now?
My buddy has a Blaster with the Toomey B1 kit, and he jetted it according to Toomey's instructions and it ran great in the Winter when it was 40~ outdoors, but now that it's 95~ here, it runs like crap (too rich and lost some power) and it keeps fouling plugs, too.

I am not real familiar with the kehin but I would think that you should just pull the bottom bowl off and it should be right there. I would drop it down a couple sizes too start with. As far as idling goes right next to where the main jet is you should see a small hole. Look down in that hole and you should see another little jet (pilot jet) take a small screw driver and take it out. Blow it out so you can see though it and put it back in.The pilot jet controls the idle and when they plug up it will not idle

thanks for all the replies i appreciate it but when i take that bowl out do i bring down the air fuel mix screw? and i started it today wit the new air filter it started a lil faster but still like 10 15 kicks. with the other it took longer cuz it was dirty.
