I have read alot of different opinions on here about oil injection and instead of taking the chance i have decided to just mix my own 40:1 gas mix. But instead of buying a block off kit for the injection system what would it hurt to just fill the oil tank up with more 40:1 premix gas? I was just wondering anyone elses views?

 

That should work fine IMO. I believe OldPolarisTech said some people use it as a small gas tank that way. But I also heard how reliable the injection system is. I would never quit using it.

I like being able to pull up to a gas pump and top it off. There are some rides I take where that's the only way to make it back to the parking lot. I wouldn't want to carry a big can full of pre-mixed gas all day, or an empty can to mix it in when I get to the gas station.

If pump ok,not frozen or corroded,leave alone.Pumps are very dependable,usually neglect on checking front pump for occasional water and operation is what turns people away from injecting after they have problems! Premixing more troublesome IMO. Good luck
