Default glowing red exhaust pipe

I have an 03' warrior that doesnt get much rinding time but is well taken care of. I hit deep mud puddle one time. I didnt know but it there was a puddle 1 in. deep in my filter box. I cleaned the carb, the airfilter box got a new filter, changed the oil and spark plug and now my exhaust is extremely hot after 5 minutes of warming. Could there possibly be dirt in my engine or the heads or even in the exhaust it self? I'm dieing to ride because I havent all spring and summer and I'm scared I'll melt the engine. What could cause this to happen?

did you oil the new filter. usually a glowing head pipe means a lean mixture. if you didnt oil the new filter it will run lean.
