I've been surfing for an hour now and still can't find the answer to this, but how do I reset the oil change indicator. I have the manual and service manual in front of me and can't find anything about resetting it other then in the manual where it simply states to reset it after the change but nothing on how to do so. Had a real good google around andstill nada, trying to look at similar '07 hondas but can't find anything on them.any help would be gratefully received.

 

Hey man, I had a 04 rancher 400 and I had to push 2 buttons up by the odometer/speedometer simultaneously and had to hold them down 5-10 seconds. The buttons were the hour/mileage and trip buttons. Also this is the same on my buddy's 06 Rubicon. Try that and see if it helps.

 

Thanks for the reply, I did come across that on my travels, but the only thing that's had me scrathing my head is that the 07 rancher has only one button. even on my fridge to clear the filter light you hold two buttons together! have tried holding it for a v long period of time with no joy, even got bored and tried combinations of holding and dabbing, in some morse code fashion but to no joy
