Default 2004 DS650X Shocks

I was wondering if anyone had the stock settings for the shocks. What I am looking for is the length of the front springs with the Quad on the ground under weight with no one on it. I think someone set them too soft and want to know the proper length. Also, the same for the back. Or with the back do I measure the sag like my Snowmobile. Presently the sag is set to 3 inches. I measured the height of the rack from the ground with no one on it. Than, I sat on it and measured again. I ask because when I go through big woops it bends my license plate that hangs under the tail light. I did drop the tail light about 3 inches after adding the Six Pack Rack.

Thanks

Sag should be set to the rider weight... the shocks should be fully extended with no rider unless you have aftermarket zero preload shocks. I'm not sure what your sag settings should be... depends on what bike you have. If you are bottoming out in the whoops you need more compression so the shock will not compress so fast. If you are packing up in the whoops, it is a rebound adjustment issue... decrease the amount of rebound restriction so that the shocks will recover faster.
