Default lectron help

i'm having some problems tuning this lectron. When it gets warmed up it runs pretty good, but it doesnt start worth a darn. also when i'm just kinda puttin around and then really goose on it wide open it bogs enough it will choke the engine out if i dont let off but if i get on the throttle a little slower its fine, i've checked the plugs they look pretty good so im at a loss. anything that would help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like it is a little rich on the needle. Take the top off the carb and the needle is in the slide. Turn it out to lean it out and turn it in to richen. Also check your float bowl to make sure it is full and not sucking air.

How big is your power jet?

Mine at 5,000 ft is a 20 I believe. Been a while since I looked at it.

i'll have to look, is it possible that this is just to much carb for a stock bore?

What size is it? Mine is a 46 and I don't have that problem.

Usually to run a 48, guy's have WAT more done to the motor than yours. So maybe try to get a 46 or a TM45, that will make all the difference. Unless you want to spend the bucks on a big bore, then that carb will work awesome.

cynick is correct you are lean on the needle thats the reason you dont get gas up the power jet tube I would say lean it out a half of a turn and take it for a spin if it gets hot faster or sticks closed you need to turn it back 1/4 turn make shure you have the flat side of the needle facing the head

I run my 46HV with the power jet blocked off. You should be able to tune the carb for the bike, I agree try adjusting the needle.
