2001 sportsman 90 it runs good but the first time you crank it you have to kick it about seven time it has a ele choke is this common

the 2001 doesnt have an electric choke my 01 90 eats spark plugs and batteries alot so be sure that those are in tip top shape at all times

 

thanks the batt was low i did not thinkabout the batt because it does not need a batt to run but it prob does for the choke ill try a new batt

 

The electric choke on 2000-2001 models didnt work that well,plus the newer ones with manual chokes if not started frequently are sometimes also hard to start. A little trick on all models is to block air intake tube with thumb while starting and usually starts quicker. Alows more fuel for starting.
