I am trying to install the stage 2 kit, I got the head and top cam cover off, but even after removing the chain tension device, I can't get the cam assemblies to come out of the lower cam holder. Anyone have any advice?

DO you have a shop manual, it is very helpful.

Did you loosen/remove the large cam chain tensioner bolt? It is located on the cylinder head next to the intake, left hand side of engine. That should loosen the chain quite a bit. The camshsft may "stick" a little, but if you pull up hard enough they will come out. The shop manual says you don't need to remove the timing gears, but that is another option since you are installing new cams anyway.

When you re-install the upper camshaft bridge, be very careful torquing it to spec (10 NM). If you overtorque it, the cams may not rotate freely. I had to buy a low range torque wrench for this (in-lbs).

You are probably going to have to order various shims for the valves. $6.25 each.

On your valve gaps , Ron Woods says to go .006" to .009". So I gapped mine at .006" intake and .009" exhaust. The Exhaust side gets alot hotter so the valve will grow so go loose at .009". Mine runs great!!
