Head lights on 86 4 trax

Head lights on 86 4 trax
Got this new1986 4Trax
Has a nice upper head light and 2 lower yellow lights
How good are these yellow lights and why are they yellow ?
Has anyone switched them out with clear lights.
Reason is, I want to mount a front cargo box ,which will cover up the main head .
Are the lower lights bright enough .
I can not ride the bike until sept .
