02 Banshee won't start after "friend" rode it.

my "buddy" came over and rode my banshee.. well he took it out for a couple laps, went down pretty far away from me down a hill and must of left it in a high gear because I could hear it all bogged down..
then I didn't hear anything for about 10 seconds (i guess it died is what he said) and then I hear a loud POP like it was JAMMED in gear really hard and then he came back with it and when he pulled up it died and won't start AT ALL.
I let it sit over night and it still won't start.
it is getting spark, it got dark so I didn't check the fuel but i'm about to go do that as the sun is coming up right now..
it just kicks and doesn't even attempt to fire.

It was probably loaded with fuel and when the bike shut off there was a little bit of fuel still burning off. I would put some new plugs in, but when you pull them out leave them out for 20 min. or so and let some of the fuel evaporate out, that way you get a fresh start.

yea id try that first b4 thinking of anything else, a new set of plugs and either let the cylinders dry out or just kick it over wit ur hand with the plugs out and that will dry them out fast

Check to see if the carb was blown out of it's retaining sleeve. My Big Bear has done that to me 2 or 3 times in the last month. I just loosen the retaining band, put the carb back in the sleeve and tighten the band back up. Agrivation, but guess that's better than getting an unwanted boom when the gas in the carb ignites from the backfire.

I would do everything that was mentioned here and if still doesnt start, then he might have blown the cam chain trying to shift improperly. This happened when I first got my Warrior and my "friend was trying to pop wheelies the wrong way. I was lucky though because it was still under warranty. The whole tranni was destroyed with shrapnal. Check it out.
Friend dont let friends ride without a downpayment

Do a compression and go from there.
