i went away for 2 weeks and when i got home i wanted to go riding. i started my quad and it idled fine.. i warmed it up and rode for about 2 minutes and then it stalled. i started it back up and it idled but as soon as i touch the gas it stalls. any suggestions?

 

make sure it has gas and the fuel is turned on...lol

 

Check the main jet, could be some dirt plugging it. I guess I am not sure what carb they run but that is where I start. It would still probably idle because that is mostly the pilot jet but as soon as you start to lift the needle it goes to main jet.

 

+1 for the checking the jets. install a small gas filter. your good to go. it sould be easy to figure out. at least it will sit there and run.

 

yea, and hopefully your bike doesnt use a crappy vacuum fuel pump. or that could be it also if its dirty.

 

Not sure about the moto 4, but it probably has one of them crappy parking brake sensors on it that could be stuck/bad.

 

i cleaned the carb and replaced the air filter. all good now. also the floats were not floating all the way so gas was always coming in. thanks
