How much do you already know about this machine??? Things like it needs fairly frequent oil changes, and you need to know the starting drill, etc......

you seemed like a smart fellow in some of the posts i saw....so i checked old oil posts and saw your responses on changing oil and types of oil...i saved the post about letting it run out of the weep hole and then running it for a short while and adding 100cc's...i cleaned the air filter and filter box and drained the coolant and replaced it with the honda brand coolant and went and got oil...the guy at the shop i go to told me to use honda hp4 hi performance 4 stroke oil 10w-40 SJ...i have a few questions though...do i fill it to the top mark in the site glass or in the middle of it? How long should i wait to run it after i fill it? And the post you made about pumping the throttle a few times and then using the hot start worked nicely...Thank you very much and anymore advice is greatly appreciated.

I fill oil to the top of the sight glass, then start if BRIEFLY. The oil level will go down, and need to be topped off back to the top of the glass.

thank you very much...i am not sure if my rin is bent....the bearings and tie rods look good but when i got into the top end of 4th gear and into 5th it shakes my handle bars...is therre a way to check for a bent rim?

A front end shake could be quite a few different things. If the wheel bearings and tie rods/ends are good, make sure the ball joints are also tight. Make sure the steering stem is all tightened down and has no excess play. Most of the time, you can see a bent rim by eyeballing it or raising that wheel off the ground and rolling it. Sometimes the wheel may be off balance too, either mud/junk can get in there or someone may have used an internal tire sealant that has gone bad.
