thanks scooter...i checked the stem and it was all tight and the front tires were fairly worn so i bought new tires and had them balanced and that took care of it...blow me kukerdan...

hey- what the heck ? Honda sez never , NEVER , NEVER pump the throttle b4 starting ??

 

I know what Honda says, but on the 450R if you pump the throttle 3 times before a cold start it starts up right away!
Pump the throttle when it's hot and you'll flood it and be kicking (on an '04 and '05) for quite awhile. Practically run the battery dead on a 450ER
