The SX models have WP shocks, the XC models have Öhlins.

What class exactly is the 505 supposed to run in? They all it an MX machine but as far as I've seen all the MX series races have a 450cc limit..... and for open class they already have the 525 so why would you go with the 505?

Just curious..... it just seems odd to have a 450, 505 and a 525

The 505 is actually 477cc's. I am not sure on rules/classes, but I would imagine racers would much rather use the 505 for tt or supermoto racing, rather than the 525...granted thats assuming they have a class for that displacement...

My question exactly......

It just seems like there are usually two classes for most racing.... the 450cc class and then the "open" class.....

I'm not really into TT or Supermoto for the most part so I'm not up on the classes within.... so maybe you are right and they would want the 505 over the 525.... maybe they want the higher revving DOHC.....

I want one bad, does anyone know how fast they runn, compared to the other bikes around. I remember there is a bike in production in europe called a e-tec eraser they came with a ktm 505 or a 525 engine in them, I think you could choose your engine. and they would just walk all over a DS650 Baja! They also cost like 15,000- 17,000$ There crazy, they have J-ARMS instead of A-ARMS. Sick technology!!!!
