2009 raptor i think just got better. i really like the idea of the digital meter i might have to go buy a raptor now!

 

the se model looks cool, but the price 8100 dollars, wow, i bought a 07 se new in 07 and it was only 6800 that might hurt the sales alittle , especially with the economy. Yah , the digital meter might be cool, with a speedo.

 

I don't mind the updates they did to the bike esp the digital speedo (NICE) but I think I like the grill on the 08 better. IMO

 

why are they saying they are the first with a digital speedo? can am has had it for a couple years now.

you are right about the 08 grill. 09 looks wimpier without the other grill.

 

i dont think the dash is that big of a deal 2 me. i mean its like a vapor. i would have like to see a rpm gauge not a speedo. breaks are a little better. shocks are a little better. and if you put aftermarket bar most likely the digital meter wont be able to been seen or even used.

Yamaha is saying that the Raptor is the 1st sports quad to have the speedo.

Can Am has the speedo on their sports quads? I thought they only had it on their Utes? The Renegade is kind of a hybrid Sports/Ute--more in a different category than the Raptor.

The grill is kind of ugly.. I prefer the 07-08. In the market now for a 700.. but def don't want an 09.

I'd have to see the quad and grill in person before calling it ugly, it just looks different from what I'm used to, but still will wait to see it in person [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Different strokes for different folks. If I wind up with an 09 I will be looking for an 07-08 front grill. Screw the speedo, riding an atv is not like a car that distraction can cause lots of accidents.
