Well, at least you went to the right source. Those guys have forgotten more about the little Rappies than most people will ever know. Good people.

It sounds like you are either hitting the rev limiter or you are starving the motor for fuel. The 50's are hurting for power to begin with. They just cannot flow enough air. I hate to tell you this, but at some point throwing more money at it isn't the answer. Eventually you will need to move up.

By the way, the litlte raptors are notorious for carb problems with the stock carbs. If you are hopping this thing up, you need to remember you can't do one thing and not the other. Air cleaners and exhaust flow more air, so you need to flow more fuel to match it or you will lean it out and get detonation. You might need to bump the timing too.
