Default Raptor 250 on trails?

Hey everyone. I have a quick question. How good are raptor 250s on trails and hillclimbs?

Although I don't own one myself, what I gather from folks who have them is that it is very agile and should be the ultimate trail quad. As far as hillclimbing power, I don't think you will have anything to worry about....it's an ultralight quad with a light rider, so it has a huge power/weight advantage.

I do think for trail work, it might benefit from some different tires (like Standard Holeshots) and that would give it a little more ground clearance.

I see that you have had a number of posts on this topic. I think you need to quit thinking about it and just go and buy one of these! They aren't all that expensive either.....

They work great out on the trails. We have done the entire Paiute ATV Trail System, and the entire Markagunt ATV Trail system in Utah with a Raptor 250, including the "most difficult" rated sections. And that was with a 12 year old kid riding it.

Here is a picture of me on the Markagunt ATV Trail System from two days ago. The Raptor 250 came through that section with no problems.

The OEM plastic swingarm skid plate gets torn off in the rocks right away, but a replacement aluminum skid plate from AC Racing has done fine since then.
