I have an 06 Outlander 800 with nary a problem, knock on wood. I do have Richocet skids, hd springs and HPG shocks. I frequent most of the CanAm forums and the electrical issues seem to be loose battery cables and water intrusion if you go deep all the time. Make sure the battery is well connected and use di-electric grease on all the connections you can get to. That is the same for all quads if you do water very much. There has been some talk of cam chains, but again, no more than any other OHC systems. There are many reports of very high mileage with no problems, some over 20,000 miles.
