Default Magnum 425: does yours make clutch noise?

Does your magnum 425 make a lot of clutch noise? A scream or whine as some might call it. The mechanic tells me it's normal.

When does it make noise? When you're idling? When you're descending hills? When you accelerate or jut at cruising speed?

the noise is under normal driving load. when you stand there and someone drives it away, as it gets farther away you hear the noise more than the motor.

I had a 95 425, it sounded like a jet. Kinda cool, I thought it was bad at first also. Then 4000 miles later same sound no problems. Doc

I'd say yours is probably normal. Mine has a lot of "whine" especially when going down hills. The engine itself isn't very loud and you really pick up a lot of the tranny and CVT noise.

When I've listened to other people ride my magnum I'm always surprised by the fact that after a couple of hundred yards you really have to strain to hear it. When you do hear it, you usually hear the drivetrain whine before you hear the engine unless you're on the gas really hard.
