10 inch tires on the Front of my H.O. Sportsman,,ROCK!!
#1
I had these 25x10x12 tires left over from my Arctic Cat. They were too narrow for the back and I put some Super Swampers on it. It didn't help that much and I got rid of the Arctic Cat last year....but I still had these tires lying around. I thought they would be cool on my Sportsman H.O. but was worried about them being too wide and rubbing on the tie rod end. So Finally I put them on. They cleared the tie rod end by about 1/8" so I put a fat washer under the lugbolt, giving them about 1/4" clearance. What a difference!! Lighter steering!! Way better in sand, slides, I'm sure climbing is enhanced too.
This is a GREAT improvement. 25x9x12 would fit even better with most of the benefits, but I'm keeping the 10's. I always thought those Polaris front tires were too skinny especially for the sand washes we ride in alot. They seem to knife into the sand, and shifting weight forward for high speed turns in the sand was tenuous, with the narrow tires knifing in. I was right,, okay I got lucky! These bigger front tires, same diameter, ROCK!!

Is yours a true HO or a convert?
My 27s rubbed. I tried washers (actually the dealer did) first and got a little clearance. Note: Mike your washers! They can vary in thickness a LOT, and this will make a BIG difference out at 25" from center!
When you corner, the tires will easily flex and rub. Especially on a narrow wheel like the front.
I went to the Douglas wheels mentioned below to flatten the tire a bit and add clearance. 10" tire on a 6" wheel is really quite narrow. The only drawback with .190 aluminums is that the wheel studs are too short, and end up 1 thread deep inside the nut.
I haven't located any longer studs yet.
