Default need help with 07 suzuki eiger 400 auto

hello to all machanics, need help, i am very new to this site and new to 4 wheelers, im 51 yrs old, well my problem is that i was riding my bike, i was doing about 20 mph and all a sudden i heard a loud ping noise, the bike stalled to idle. i stopped the bike and put it in neutral, put it back in h range and gave it some gas and all it does is stalls, same in reverse and low range, allso in neutral. my guess is clogged vent line, but why would it make a loud ping noise, i have only 230 miles on my bike, any help would be appricated, have a great day

Now I don't own an Eiger, but I may be able to help you out. First, I would check to see if you have enough spark. The reason it may stall when you try to accelerate is because your spark won't advance. If you need directions on how to check your spark, let me know. If you have enough spark, let me know and I will give you other suggestions. The spark should be a blueish whiteish color.

hey susiozark, im sorry i didnt get back to you sooner, but anyways i fixed the problem, i took the screw out of the belt housing to drain water out, i rebed the motor up a little at a time on half choke, finally it started getting the gas so you could throttle up. the only thing i can figure out what was wrong with it was, eather the vint line was plugged or the little bit of water that was in the belt housing. runs like a scalded dog now, oh and one more thing, i discovered that the spark plug was loose, that was probly what was wrong, thanks for your concern, keep the wheels on the ground and have a nice day, thank you.

Yes if the spark plug wasn't tight that was the problen , i couldn't count the times when i ran my Small Engine Service and Repair shop customers would bring in their Lawn and garden equipment with complaints of engine bogging down and stalling on throddle up ; and in most every case they would tell me they just put a new spark plug in the engine !.........
