Which big bore should I buy?
#1
I am looking at purchasing a big atv. I have it down to the outlander 800, a brute force 750, grizzly 700 a thundercat 1000. I will be using it in the snow and on trails mainly. There is a $1000 premium on the outlander over and above the others.
What do you recommend?

Just went through this myself. The best thing I can tell you is to evaluate them all, put your mitts all over all of them and then drive as many of them as you can, the dealerships usually let you do that. I started off wanting the Brute Force and then it transitioned to deciding on either a Grizzly 700 or the King Quad 750 and in the end after riding both of them the King Quad one me over. Theres no magic answer as to what is best. I can tell you that the Can am was almost $2000 more than the others I was looking at in our local market, so I didn't consider it.

The first thing you need to do is decide what type of terrain you will be riding then your ability as a rider and go from there. There are so many diff quads avil to fit any type of terrain/riding style its endless. The one thing I will sujest is if you plan on buying new get one with EFI (which is on most of them nowadays).
For me the Grizz is the quad to be had as it fits my needs perfectly but might not work for you as I said It all depends on what you need it for. There realy is no winner. Yes there is some that have more HP and more ground clearance/ride better but I like a well balanced machine that can do it all and all well!
Just remember bigger is not allways better!

Thanks for the help everybody. I will be using the quad in fields and some trails mostly. I ended up going with a new left over 08 Outlander 800. After trying the 09 I still could justify the price difference.
