Default 2009 Outlander 800r xt

Hey everyone..Im thinking about selling my 07 700 raptor for a outy 800 xt. What are some pros and cons about the atvs. My main concern is belt slippage cause I plan on using it for a mud riding. Let me know what you guys think?? Oh and some good upgrades that you would purchace as well. Thank

Here is a good artical from Quad magazine about the big bores. Never mind they call it a v-twin shootout but it is still a good artical. Hope this helps!

Cons:

weak frame (get skid plates)
water in CVT (seal cover & around the primary, secondary) If your gonna mud race snorkle it
electrical nitemare (di-electric grease everything)
lack of clearance compared to other atvs
even though there is a lot of modz out there, the computer will restrict your modz and its really hard to get more ponies out of the rotax motor..... will have to explore expensive modz like nos/turbo.

Pros:

insane power... no one is gonna leave you in the dust
driveline holds up relatively good for runnin big tires. The driveshaft angles arent too bad so you can have a heavy thumb
great engine breaking

You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

You may wish to try Aurora Wheelers Web site. They have about the best collection of Outlander information. Sorry ATV Connection.
