My Jetmoto 150 sucks

I got this bike and my son rode it one time then the starter starts sticking and the carburetor is leaking gas every were now I dont think its getting any spark . Why does it have so many hoses on it that go to no were and then you got extra wires for some reason . You would think they would give you a good instruction book on how to put the thing together out of the crate all they gave me was a brochure with it and its the same one I got with my used roketa and has nothing to do with putting it together. Its all crap . My next bike will be a name brand like Honda or something.

These Chinese atv's are not for people who don't want to wrench on them. The hose that go to no where are just vent lines to drop toward the ground. The float sounds as if it's stuck. Try lifting the back end at the grab bar and dropping it several times, this may unstick the float. If not it may need to be adjusted! I had one that did this same thing!
One of my 150's had the starter solenoid stick ON a few times when new. Raceway sent me out a new one but the solenoid started working fine by it's self so I never swapped it out!
There is no set up manuals for any of the Jetmotos that I have heard, but really it's not too hard to figure it all out.

That big of a kid you will want a bigger atv, my older boys much prefer the 250. Look at the Vbike 250 v4 for $1250 I think it's the best chose! But yes the 150 would pull him just fine, it will pull me up anything I can point it at!
Here is my boy and I on our 150's

I've got one - the old geared rear end. It leaks all of the oil out of the axle. The fuel hoses dry rotted - started shotting gas all over my daughters leg when riding one day. Kick start broke off. It has always made a metal/grinding noise when you get on the throttle hard (I have old posts about that from when new) It has now set in the shed for a year and has no spark. I cant get the gumption to work on it anymore. It probably has ten or fifteen hours on it. Maybe I'll fiddle with it again some time. I regret its purchase.
I also bought a kazuma dingo 150 at the same time as the jetmoto. It has been much better than the jetmoto. But it's still very light duty. The starter switch didn't last long and I straight wired an automotive push button starter switch. Raceway gave me a mikuni carb which made the engine very reliable. The tires seep air where the tread starts (they now seep "slime"). It has been a pretty decent machine and has a good bit of hours on it. It's not a man's machine but has been fairly relieable for my girls and occassional male use. I've been relatively happy with this machines purchase.

so i see you have had bad luck with it so what do you say to get i might just say the heck with it and buy a used name brand that is the only problem with these off brands you get one that is great and two that are the biggest pice of junk and cant find no part for them but thanks for the input

His is the older Jet 150 pre 07, the new 07-08 are completely different atv's! But they are still not perfect machines. Read my 150 assessment page on my site and you can see what I have gone through. Mine are now 2 years old and as they sit on my trailer today with the exception of one dead battery both 150's are in great running shape! I'm not sure you would find a better fitting atv for your 10 year old name brand or not!
