My wife took the 500EFI for a slow roll down the hill and the glass covering the speedometer broke among other things. I don't recall if I found the glass piece or not, I need to look again. But had a couple questions.

First, do I need the glass cover? I'm thinking I do as there are electronic stuff in there and if I get it wet, I'm gonna be hosed. The speedometer needle was not in the right place when it got done rolling so it may be hosed anyway.

Second, I can't get just the glass cover can I?

Third, are there any settings or information stored in the speedometer or can I get just a new or used one, connect it up and have all my old mileage, hours, etc, information.

The speedometer seems to work as far as showing RPM and the display looks fine. I didn't check any of the other functions or to see if the needle worked on not as I was just wanting to get it running the other day.

 

Havent checked,but think can only get the bezel (plastic cover over speedo housing)
