Default Mud

So, I was out riding today and got myself into a mud bog - It was a ton of fun, got stuck winched out etc etc ..

I have a 2008 X2 500

My question is, how deep can i go in the muck? I went as high as the right front headlight housing, muffler was bubbling under water..... I cleaned up the outside of the machine with soad and water .. Is there anything else I need to worry about?

As long as you keep it running when the muffler is under water, if its not running it will fill the muffler with water and on into the heads shutting you down for some time. And you will be filling it with water and causing you a lot of work and possible water in the oil.....All the air intakes (Carb, EFI & drive vent) are just above the gas tank with the seat off you can see them running up and under the plastic that is the ultimate line you want to go through water. Now me, I'm not going much deeper then the bottom of the seat, this good for me but sometimes you can't help but get a little deeper then you would like.

Always a good idea to regrease any place there's a nipple. The new grease will force out any dirt and stuff that may have gotten in.
