2005 raptor 350 backfires though carb

what causes backfiring though the carb? the quad sat since last year, i cleaned the carb out, started right up, but backfires at low rpm. it won't idle real good, because it backfires and kills the engine.

Sounds like the valves are out of adjustment. 0.06 to 0.10mm on intake and 0.16 to 0.20mm on exhaust.

2005 raptor 350 backfires though carb

i figured it out. i put a larger pilot jet in, and it fixed it. runs like a champ now. must have been a bit lean on the bottom end. thanks
