Hello i just bought a 2003 500 sportsman with 200 hrs on it and i dont know what kind of oil to in it the past owner is not telling me what he used regular or synthit oil i would like to know what i should use

0w-40 Synthetic a low weight is a must on 500 to get oil to the cam quickly on cold starts. I use Amsoil or the Polaris dealer stuff they sell.

i want to use 0 w 40 but i wanted to know if synthit will heart any thing if he did not use synthit in it befor

No you can even mix some synthetics with conventional oil and make your own synthetic blends.
