Default Can a 2WD 400 Big Bear Push a Snow Plow Effectively?

Hey gang, I have searched over the forum topics and could not find the answer to my question. I have a 2001 Yamaha 400 Big Bear that is two wheel drive. I want to consider putting a snow plow on it. Before I do I want to know from the experts out there if I am wasting my money or not. I am concern a 2WD may not have the traction to push the plow. I

I also see a lot of discussion on the advantages of various plow (ie Moose, Warn, Cycle Country) and the weight of the plow being an issue.

Any help to better inform me will be most appreciated. Craig

Probably depends on how much snow your talikng about? The fact your considering plowing tells me you see quite a bit of snow. The big bears are geared low so you shouldnt have trouble moving around with a plow attached, although pushing the snow may be different with considerable wheel spin. You could use chains on your rear tires to help with that. All in all i think it could be done but i wouldnt invest alot of money into especialy for the price you can get a 4x4 atv for that will handle this job easily.

Hope this helps
