carb tuning

hello, just put a gytr exhaust on my wolverine 450. bumped the jet from a 131.3 to a 135 and the plug shows it is plenty rich. it seems to run fine but was curious where the needle affects the most. i am guessing it in basically the transition circuit from say 1/4 throttle to wide open. would this mostly help with throttle response? just curious what you all had to say. thanks

This will affect just off idle to the high end. The reason is the nozzle (where the main jet screws into) has 8 little holes in the side. The faster you bring the needle up the more rich it will be, so if the clip is dropped in a lower notch it will lift needle faster and more gas will get in. I hope I made sense, sometimes I confuse my self
