What do you guys use? I mean I have a VMAX motocross helmet that I have used with goggles and a baclava before but that just doesnt cut it.

Anyone use a heated shield?

Looking for a full face snowmobile helmet with heated shield that I can install on the Sportsman.

I just haven't had very good luck with the full face helmets in the winter even with a heated shield, seems that you have to spend the $$$ to get a full face helmet that actually works...last winter I added a breath box to my HJC off-road helmet and along with my Scott anti-fog googles and head sock. This setup worked surprisingly well, even in a January blizzard, (-18F with 30MPH wind...yeah it was a bit crazy being out in weather like that, we didn't have electricity for 3 days, but we could still ride!), I was quite comfortable while everyone else was freezing up!

 

I use an open face helmet and regular goggles with a neoprene breath deflector/face mask and a turtle-fur neckwarmer. I get very little cold air anywhere. When I used visors I always had problems like my breath getting inside "sealed" double lenses and freezing solid. I use a moto helmet the rest of the year but the breath deflector fits better with an open face helmet. I've used a heated shield helmet on my sled for a few years now, have not had any problems with fogging or freeze up, and I have been out in 10 degrees and less, don't know why it would work any different on a quad? Just hook up a 12 volt plug in, and you should be good.
