Default 01 Scrambler - Just a click when I try to start?????

Hello, I have an 01 Scrambler and everytime I try to start it, I just hear a click in front of the back left tire by the battery. I thought it was a dead battery, but I bought a new battery and that did not solve the problem. Does anybody have any great ideas on what I should do next? I read some other post on here, but did not totally understand about cleaning out the starter.

Same thing happened to me on the same atv. The starter was totally seized when we pulled it out.

Same thing happened with my 99 scrambler. Check to see if you are getting power to the starter. Use a meter and put the leads on the terminals at the starter and get someone to push the start button. If you have power then you need to replace the starter. That being the case, then you will have to take the pull start cover off to get to two bolts that hold the starter and two bolts under- neath. (4 total) It's not a bad job to do.
