went playing in the mud this weekend half way threw the trip the clutch or what I thought was the clutch started making noise at slow speeds after it got passed 10 mph it would go away .when I got it home i pulled the clutch cover off thinking that I had a fraid belt but there was nothing out of the ordinary.Can anyone tell me were I should go from here

what is it for a bike as well.

 

Sorry it is a 96 sportsman 500 the noise is almost a grinding noise but i was sure it was somthing rubbing on the clutch cover not such the case

 

Does it make the noise with the cover off?
