Default yamaha 350 grizzly

i have recently bought a 07 350 grizzly 2wd auto and it sucks going downhill it barely holds back and if it goes to fast it sounds like the belt is slapping never had a automatic before and so far i dont like it anything i can do to get it to hold back more and i need more power please help

The only thing I can think of is apply more brakes. Sorry...but with only a F/N/R trans...you are limited.

Something must be bad in your transmision, as Yamaha ultramatic transmisions are known for having Great downhill engine braking.

As for power, you can start with a slip on exaust, air filter and clutch kit.

The one way bearing can affect downhill engine braking.
I'd check the belt first though. Might just have a worn belt or old mud and dirt in the belt housing.
The housing and primary clutch are fairly easy to tear down and clean.
There's a walk thru on grizzhopper.com for the bigger bikes, but it should be similar to the 350.

I had a bruin 350 4x4..same as a grizzly 350..not sure if the 4x4 makes a difference buy mine had good engine braking.
