I like the way the moderator locks us out of a thread if things aren't going their way. Bombardier should listen to their customer feedback and problems in ANY Q&A sessions. If simply out of respect for their customers. If rules say they cannot, then those rules really suck. Ducking the issues that are most important is no way to run a business.

Roman,

If we permitted unhappy customers to take pot shots at our guests would we have any guests?
How would you like to appear as a guest on a talk show and have people publicly roast you? Especially regarding issues other then what you were told you would be there to discuss. Think about it.

The intent of the chat room special events are not to fulfill your personal agenda nor give you a platform to resolve your disagreements. Nor is the "rule" open to discussion.

Guests are there to talk about a topic such as "winning the BAJA 2000." Moreover, the people in the chat room who do want to talk about the topic, such as the "BAJA 2000", would not be happy listening to you debating customer service issues. We have a responsibility to our readers to provide the chat on the topic we promised them.

If you don't happen to agree--you have a right to your opinion. However, the rules are there for a reason so your choice is to accept the rule or elect not to participate in the chat event.

You are more then welcome to post a thread addressed to Bombardier here in the forums just as someone else posted an "open letter to Kawasaki" earlier today.

No one is trying to fulfill a personal agenda. Who said anything about popshots? You're already erroneously jumping to conclusions. If you hold a q&a session then you answer questions: end of story. There is no roasting or whining to be done. If there are questions about your product's reliability, you ARE obligated to address them. The answer to your next question is yes. If there was something happening with my product that displeased the consumer, I would, gladly, be both accessible and ready to answer any questions, anywhere, in an attempt, an earnest attempt, to resolve the problem, not run and hide. To worry about whether or not you're going to hurt a guest's feelings depends on how you conduct yourself in the exchange. If you act like a child and try to embarrass that guest, instead of bringing a subject to their attention and asking about possible remedies, then you shouldn't be allowed to speak. I was of the impression, with the possible exception of a few, that we do all carry on like adults. I was also unaware that the discussion was strictly Baja 2000 related, my apologies.

To dbeck,

If you care to consult the Bombardier forum, you'll see that the atvabbs simply stated that Bombardier would be available for any questions, in his 8:55 post.

It doesn't, however, state just the Baja 2000 subject until later. I didn't see that one until later today.

Thank you.
