This atv ran only 110 hours so far. It began to bog down, losing power, until the day came when it wouldn't start at all. It turns over just fine, getting a good spark, fuel and air, but no go. It sounds like it desperately wants to start.

A bike mechanic and I have been working on it two weeks. Here is what we have done so far:

- Replaced EMC
- Replaced ig coil
- Replaced plug
- Replaced TP sensor
- Flushed and filled tank with fresh fuel
- Drained oil, new oil and filter
- Tore apart, cleaned and checked carb thoroughly (good)
- Checked compression (good)
- Checked intake/exhaust valves (good)
- Checked error codes (had code 13, TPS, but replaced it - no more codes)
- Tried adjusting the pilot (no effect)

Damn thing is on the verge of starting, but it just doesn't make it. We are at our wit's end. Any ideas are welcome and very much appreciated at this point. Thanks.

 

Valve adjustment (tight valves), timing chain tentioner let the cam jump out of time, camshaft lobes bad or decompressor on the cam is stuck
