Ok I know that cold air is denser and all that but does it get cold enough to where you have to rejet your bike? An example avg spring/summer temp. here is like 60/80 , would I have to rejet for winter riding if it got as cold as 10/20 frequently?

I live in Fairbanks Alaska where tempuratures get near -60 degrees. I have no problem riding in weather down to -20. Normal riding temps for me in the winter is around 0 degrees. We stay below freezing for about 8 months out of the year. I pretty much ride year around exept when a cold spell hits Ha! My warrior runs great weather its -20 or 75. Its stock but I have a WB E Series and K&N on the way.

You don't need to unless your jetted on the edge. If you jet on the lean side for the most power, then you'll be jetting every 20 or 20 degree difference. Now that's what I do on my 2 strokes, I'm still learning on my DS tuning. Maybe someone out there can give us alittle help with this.

Jetting on 4-strokes is not as critical as on 2-strokes. The reason for this is that the 2-stroke relies on the fuel in the mixture to cool the piston. A 4-stroke only has 1/2 as many power strokes so it doesn't need the fuel to cool the piston. However, a lean mixture burns hotter and will wear valve seats faster if the mixture is lean. This will not result in a catatrophic failure unless it it extremly lean (you can tell this by riding at night and checking if the headpipe is glowing red!!).

My Banshee no longer starts, it is about 20 - 35degrees... in the summer, 70 - 80 degrees it was on the lean side though.

I live in Maine and like to ride across frozen ponds alot, this usaly ends up being a run as fast as you can till your face freeze's thing!! And i like to keep an eye on the plug reading, (burned two 500 pistons doing this!!) Mine and my neighbors raptors both run very lean doing this, and they were about right maybe a little on the lean side this fall in about 60deg wether, We are waiting on jets still from the dealer but have been for awhile, Has orderd jets anyplace else if so where and how long, I will post what it takes for jets to get this thing at the right spot if i ever get some!!
