Default 95 400 xplorer engine change

I recently changed the engine in my 95 xplorer with a 400 engine out of a 96 xplorer.
since doing so, i can not get her to go.
i have spark, fuel etc but no go.
also, she seems to be turning over slowly.....
any ideas would be great.

she seems to be flooding herself out.

make sure you have all wires safely tucked away and didnt pinch them when installing new motor. check battery voltage for at least 11.5 volts if it drops to below 9.5 or so when starting the battery isnt any good. if the battery/starter is taking too much juice from the system then it wont have enough left to make a spark under compression (yes it does make a difference) if its flooding out i would check your carburetor adjustments and make sure the float isnt stuck open or the needle seat is wore. double check the pilot size and see if its too big also. new motor might have different carb specs but run the same carb body dont know that for sure tho.

you have a magneto ign.,and does not rely on battery voltage for spark. check compression with a gauge,100 lbs minimum.
