Default American CV Boot

I purchased a front outboard cv boot for my 2004 SP 500 from American CV and it does not fit. This it part #BK-5P02 and it is suppose to be a replacement for Polaris #2201015. The joint/wheel side of the boot is too large and it will not seal properly. If you are looking for an alternative to the OEM boot, this is not it. Looks like I'll be getting one from the dealer after all.

Did you call them and ask to return the boot for credit? I have ordered boots from them with no problems but if you can't return it I may go with CVMan next time. The boots on our 02' SP500's are giving up 1 at a time.

Yes. They will accept the return , very friendly, excellent service. Only problem is the boot doesn't fit. I also tried the Precision 8409 that others have reportedly used with no issues, and it had the exact same problem. It was just the tiniest bit too big and would not seal up properly. Too bad because the Precision was a nice, thick boot and the cheapest one of all. I just got back from the dealer and finished installing the OEM boot and there is an immediate and noticeable difference in the fit between the OEM and the other two. Too bad the OEM is the most expensive and the thinest of the three.
